Throughout my time as a professional Ophthalmologist, I’ve been able to take part in eye research and have numerous medical journal publications. My experience of personally performing cataract surgery in patients with and without other eye conditions (for example diabetic retinopathy and age related macular degeneration) and supervising trainee surgeons to perform safe cataract surgery over many years encouraged me to share my surgical knowledge.

To this effect, I wrote, illustrated and published a comprehensive textbook on cataract surgery. My book is used as a guide for residents learning cataract surgery and as a guide for consultant trainers on how to teach safe surgical techniques across the country.
